Position Summary:

Is a member and trusted partner of the executive management team. Responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating the strategy, processes, procedures, and policies that support the overall needs of the organization in the areas of Finance and Accounting. Manages and provides oversight in the areas of budgeting, cash flow, annual financial audits, tax returns, payroll, and billing for the organizations multiple businesses. Manages the organizations financial reporting in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

Planning

• Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives

• Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans

• Develop financial and tax strategies

• Oversees cash flow planning and ensures availability of funds as needed. Oversees cash, investment, and asset management.

• Develop performance measures and monitoring systems that support the company's strategic direction

Operations

• Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team

• Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team

• Manage the accounting, investor relations, legal, and tax departments

• Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies

• Manage any third parties to which accounting or finance functions have been outsourced

• Oversee the company's transaction processing systems

Financial Information

• Oversee the issuance of financial information

• Report financial results to the execsฃ

Risk Management

• Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile

• Construct and monitor reliable control systems

• Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements

• Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies

• Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations

Funding

• Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts

• Invest funds

• Invest pension funds

Qualifications:

• Must have a master’s degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience. Preferred candidates with an MBA in Finance and the Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations

• At least 5 years of experience at management consulting firms

• At least 5 years of experience as a senior manager or director at corporate

• Working experience in marketing agency is preferred

• 10+ years of experience for a major company or division of a large corporation

• Experience in partnering with an executive team and have a high level of written and oral communication skills.
